robert dodd 1992 - 2011 Forty-fourth president of the AAU. He held the position of AAU President longer than any other AAU President when the presidential term limit was changed to have limit. Dodd was president of the AAU for 20+ years and became the Chief Executive Officer in 1995 for 17+ years. 
 Along with his national officers, Dodd signed a 30-year partnership with the Walt Disney World Company, bringing the AAU National Headquarters from Indianapolis, Indiana to Orlando, Florida in 1996. The AAU hosted its first event at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex in 1997 with the sports of Karate and Chinese Martial Arts. Under his leadership, AAU National Championships go from 100 to over 250. He proposes a national policy of precluding sports agents, agencies and representatives from becoming members of the AAU and the policy was adopted. 
 In 2000, he launches a campaign directed at all media outlets to educate the country on AAU Sport Programs. In 2001, he recommends canceling the National Convention due to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Board of Directors agree unanimously due to major safety concerns for its members and the country. As president, Dodd remodels the AAU National Headquarters after 20 years gathering the various AAU archival materials and antique treasures into one large conference room. It is still proudly displayed at the AAU National Headquarters. He was a Board of Directors member of the U.S. State Olympic Committee. Was on the USOC Jr. Olympic Committee, Vice Chairman for the USOC Jr. Olympic Committee, representative of the USOC Community Based Multi-Sports Organizations to the USOC National Governing Bodies Council, Director of the 1980 AABC Baseball Mickey Mantle World Series as well as being on the iHoops advisory board. Dodd was also the President of C&D Investments and a YMCA Professional Director. Dr. Dodd, holds a Ph.D in Philosophy from Columbus University, Bachelor of Science in Education from Memphis State University and Master of Science Degree in Education Administration from Columbus University.
