avery Brundage 1928 - 1933 1935 Nineteenth president of the AAU. He was a member of the 1912 U.S. Olympic Team competing in pentathlon and decathlon. Brundage was an all-around champion of America in 1916. He represented the AAU internationally in Berlin where legendary track athlete Jesse Owens won his four gold medals in track and field.
